Project Engineer

3D Recruitment has been engaged to appoint a Project Engineer for an initial four-week temporary assignment, with the potential for the role to transition into a permanent position. This is an opportunity to join a highly experienced team supporting major construction works, with a strong focus on formwork, temporary works, reinforcement and concrete delivery.

Our client is an established construction subcontractor delivering specialist construction solutions across major commercial and infrastructure projects throughout Melbourne. With extensive experience across structural carpentry, formwork, reinforcement, concrete, fabrication and specialist construction services, the business has developed a strong reputation for quality workmanship, safety and reliable project delivery.
The company has been involved in a range of significant Melbourne projects across commercial, infrastructure, healthcare, education, workplace and major transport developments, supported by experienced teams and a strong focus on compliance, quality and safety.

WHAT YOU GET

THE ROLE

• Support the delivery of formwork, reinforcement and concrete works across active projects.
• Coordinate and monitor formwork installation and concrete pour activities.
• Assist with temporary works planning, coordination and implementation.
• Work closely with Site Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Assist with project planning, documentation and construction coordination.
• Monitor progress, quality and compliance across site activities.
• Assist in identifying and resolving construction issues as they arise.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
• Provide technical and practical support to the project delivery team.

YOU

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer within commercial construction, civil construction or major projects.
• Practical experience with formwork, concrete, reinforcement and/or temporary works.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and site-based project delivery.
• Confident coordinating subcontractors and working closely with site teams.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and hit the ground running.
