3D Recruitment has been engaged by an established commercial construction and fitout specialist to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their team and contribute to a strong pipeline of commercial fitout, refurbishment, industrial and workplace projects.

THE ROLE

• Prepare accurate estimates and tender submissions for commercial construction and fitout projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes and project documentation to determine project requirements.
• Develop detailed pricing, cost estimates and tender documentation.
• Source, review and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks and potential cost issues.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal project teams throughout the tender process.
• Assist with tender pricing, procurement and commercial negotiations.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost-effective construction solutions.
• Ensure pricing is accurate, competitive and aligned with project requirements.
• Assist with tender handovers and provide estimating support through project commencement.
• Manage multiple tenders and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

YOU

• Experience as an Estimator within commercial construction, fitout or refurbishment.
• Sound understanding of construction methodology, materials and subcontractor pricing.
• Background across commercial fitout, refurbishment, industrial or similar projects.
• Confident reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications and scopes.
• Established relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Strong attention to detail with sound numerical and commercial skills.
• Ability to assess pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Well organised with the ability to manage competing tenders and deadlines.
• Relevant construction, building or estimating qualification would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in Cubit is essential.
