Senior Estimator

3D Recruitment has partnered with an established commercial construction business seeking an experienced Senior Estimator. This opportunity is suited to a hands-on estimating professional with strong technical and commercial capability, who enjoys pricing commercial fitouts, new developments and refurbishments, completing detailed quantity take-offs and preparing accurate, competitive tender submissions.

WHAT YOU GET

THE ROLE

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial construction projects, including fitouts, new developments and refurbishments.
• Complete accurate measurements and quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications.
• Review tender documentation to identify scope requirements, exclusions, risks and potential cost variations.
• Obtain, assess and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Develop detailed cost plans, pricing schedules and tender breakdowns.
• Identify alternative construction methodologies, value engineering opportunities and potential cost efficiencies.
• Assess project complexity, construction requirements and commercial risks when pricing tenders.
• Work closely with the construction team to ensure estimates reflect practical delivery methodologies.
• Maintain accurate estimating records, cost databases and tender documentation.
• Assist in assessing tender opportunities and prioritising submissions based on project suitability and commercial viability.
• Manage multiple tenders and ensure submissions are completed accurately within required deadlines.

YOU

• Proven experience in commercial construction estimating, ideally at Senior Estimator level.
• Experience pricing commercial fitouts, new developments and refurbishment projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, trade packages and subcontractor pricing.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Strong measurement and quantity take-off skills, with a hands-on approach to estimating.
• Experience preparing detailed estimates for complex commercial construction projects.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and tender deadlines.
• Proficiency in estimating software, ideally Cubit, Cubit Select and EstimateOne.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with the wider team.
