3D Recruitment is working with an established commercial construction business specialising in workplace design, commercial fitouts and refurbishment projects. With an integrated approach to design, estimating and project delivery, they work closely with clients to deliver quality outcomes while maintaining strong cost control and commercial certainty.

They are looking to bring an Estimator into the team who can contribute to a strong pipeline of commercial projects and work closely with the design, technical and delivery teams.

PROJECTS

• Commercial office fitouts and workplace upgrades

• Design and construct (D&C) projects

• Commercial refurbishments and upgrades

• Projects from concept design through to construction

• Projects valued up to approximately $5m

THE ROLE

• Review drawings, specifications and project documentation to establish project scope

• Complete detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate cost estimates

• Prepare cost plans and preliminary budgets from concept-stage drawings

• Price labour, materials, subcontractor packages and associated project costs

• Prepare scopes of work and issue tender packages to subcontractors

• Obtain, review and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations

• Compile competitive tender submissions and meet tender deadlines

• Identify project risks, scope gaps and cost-saving opportunities

• Work with design and technical teams on value engineering solutions

• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers

• Assist with pricing variations and cost reviews where required

• Maintain accurate estimating records and subcontractor rate schedules

YOU

• Minimum 2–3 years' estimating experience within commercial construction

• Experience pricing commercial fitout and D&C projects up to approximately $5m

• Proficient in Cubit estimating software and Microsoft Office

• Able to interpret construction drawings, specifications and scopes of work

• Strong understanding of subcontractor pricing and construction costs

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

• Confident communicator with strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities

• Able to manage competing priorities and work to tight tender deadlines

• Proactive, commercially minded and solutions focused

• Building and Construction qualifications preferred
