THE ROLE

  • Lead all contractual and commercial functions, including administration, compliance, and claims.
  • Drive strategic commercial planning and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee financial reporting and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Work with delivery teams to ensure effective project outcomes.
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Provide high-level commercial and risk advice across project teams.
  • Assess claims relating to variations, delays, disruptions, escalation, and site conditions.
  • Negotiate commercial matters with contractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Implement and maintain contract management systems and processes.
  • Lead, support, and mentor junior commercial staff.
  • Participate in weekly project progress meetings.

YOU
  • Experienced Contracts Manager or Senior CA (or similar).
  • Proven track record managing Principal–Contractor relationships.
  • Strong understanding of complex commercial contracts and relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating high-value contracts.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and provide commercially sound recommendations.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to seek specialist advice when required.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, commerce, accounting, business, engineering, law, or a related discipline (highly regarded).
  • Experience directing and influencing multi-disciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to achieve high-quality outcomes.
