3D Recruitment are currently seeking an Estimating Manager for a very well organized construction business based in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.

A hugely respected group, led by some of the upper tier leaders of Victoria. Having been in operation for over a decade, they are well established with a heap of repeat clients and long serving employees, who are each a specialist in their field of construction. Such a diverse range of projects, makes for variety day in, day out - certainly not a one trick pony.
PROJECTS
As an Estimating Manager, you will be managing and leading a team of Estimators and working closely with the design & construction delivery team, in order to secure further projects including Industrial Storage Facilities, Primary Education and private commercial clients on projects up to the value of $80m each - typical values around $35m on average with lots of D&C and ECI negotiated pricing.
Duties will include;
As an Estimating Manager, you will no doubt have exceptional knowledge of local prices in the Victorian market, as well as a great trade base - but not essential, as this role is to join an existing team, not start from scratch. Some of the basic requirements are that you;

As an Estimating Manager, you will be managing and leading a team of Estimators and working closely with the design & construction delivery team, in order to secure further projects including Industrial Storage Facilities, Primary Education and private commercial clients on projects up to the value of $80m each - typical values around $35m on average with lots of D&C and ECI negotiated pricing.
Duties will include;
- Managing an Estimating Team
- Driving Pre-construction activities
- Helping with preparation and sign off of bill of quantities, gathering quotations and scope of works
- Assist with tendering on multiple projects concurrently and delegating tasks to the estimating team
- Work within a team environment as well as operating autonomously
- Maintain up to date knowledge of industry standards and prices
As an Estimating Manager, you will no doubt have exceptional knowledge of local prices in the Victorian market, as well as a great trade base - but not essential, as this role is to join an existing team, not start from scratch. Some of the basic requirements are that you;
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have impeccable time management practices
- Negotiate well with sub contractors without under valuing them
- Have relevant expereince as a Senior Estimator pricing projects beyong $20m
