The successful applicant will be skilled in identifying risks, managing tendering processes, preparing detailed packages, and supporting projects from initial pricing through to delivery. This is a pivotal role where your accuracy and communication skills will directly impact project success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for fit-out and refurbishment projects
- Manage tendering process, including subcontractor pricing and package preparation
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess risks and opportunities
- Liaise with Project Managers on budgets, cost plans, and variations
- Contribute to tender submissions, presentations, and client negotiations
- Provide end-to-end involvement from initial pricing through to project delivery support
- Have excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Have impeccable time management practices
- Ability to effectively negotiate with subcontractors without undervaluing them
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Essential to have experience as an Estimator in the Melbourne Construction or Fitout/Refurb Industry
