THE COMPANY
An ISO Safety Accredited Construction Business delivering projects between $10m - $30m, this well established commercial builder is focused on delivering a variety of projects utilising the skills of their extremely valued employees. With a stable annual turnover of around $70m, they are not looking to expand, simply maintain their current level of works.

THE ROLE
As OHS / Safety Manager, you will be responsible for planning your own diary as each project requires. Your role will be to assist all construction sites and advise Site Managers, Project Managers and Executive Management of the liabilities, regulations and procedures to be put in place, to ensure a safe work place. Some of your key duties will include;
  • Following and implementing ISO Safety Standards
  • Create induction packs for each site.
  • Assist with all safety documentation at pre construction stage through to completion.
  • Advise management of Safety procedures and proven work methods.
  • Have thorough knowledge of Legislated OHS Acts, Regulations and operational compliance.
  • Assess risk management practices, OHS Planning, Safe Operating Procedures.
  • Create and audit Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) to be adhered to on site.
  • Support project teams as part of a ONE TEAM culture.
  • Create weekly reports and present to management.
YOU
As OHS / Safety Manager your background will ideally be with an established Commercial and/or Apartment builder. Other skills you will possess;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Building & Construction and/or related discipline.
  • Certificate 4 or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (Construction)
  • Exposure to Safety protocols on Building & Construction of multiple projects between $10m - $30m in value.
  • Proven ability to communicate well and influence team members and stakeholders for a positive delivery.
  • Have the ability to teach and mentor your peers in safety management processes.
  • Experience working in high pressure situations within large teams.
PACKAGE
