THE COMPANY
A well-known Tier 3 commercial builder with a track record across D&C and construct-only projects ranging from $3m–$25m. They operate predominantly in education, government, industrial and mixed-use commercial sectors and have developed a strong reputation for quality builds and repeat clients. With a dedicated team and healthy pipeline of work, they’re looking to strengthen their HSEQ structure with an experienced OHS Manager.

PROJECTS
  • VSBA Schools, Child Care Centres, Local Government & Council proects, Storage Facilities - Mainly D&C Projects, also construct only
  • Project ranging from $3m - $25m
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all occupational health and safety systems across the business. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain and improve the business's ISO 45001 safety management system
  • Prepare and manage FSC / OFSC documentation and compliance
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits
  • Deliver safety training, inductions and toolbox talks
  • Lead investigations, prepare reports and manage corrective actions
  • Collaborate closely with Site Managers and Project Managers to ensure proactive safety culture
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes and best practice industry standards
YOU
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
  • Previous experience as a Safety Manager or Senior OHS Advisor in commercial construction
  • Sound knowledge of ISO accreditation and FSC/OFSC compliance
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to risk and safety management
  • Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • A genuine passion for safety, people, and continuous improvement
